1 Kings 15:34; 16:19, 29, 33
These kings did evil in the sight of the Lord or 'provoked Him'. They were probably every day ordinary kings for that time and part of the world. But God did not see it that way; they were ruling over His People, therefore they were held to a higher standard.
How much more of a standard will He hold those who belong to his covenant people today (James 3:1; 2 Peter 3:11-13). So live like you are saved.
Praise You Father for salvation by Grace through Faith.
Praise You Son for securing that salvation.
Praise You Spirit for showing that salvation to us.
